Fells Cove (Kissimmee / Narcoossee, Florida) — a quick history

  • Origins of the name. The “Fell” in Fell’s Cove traces to E. Nelson Fell, who led an 1880s English settlement effort around Narcoossee on East Lake Tohopekaliga. Local place-names like Fell’s Lane, Fell’s Point, Fell’s Landing, and Fell’s Cove preserve that legacy.

  • Landscape & waterways. Fell’s Cove sits off the northeast corner of East Lake Tohopekaliga and is connected by a navigable trail through marsh vegetation—part of the Osceola County lake system at the headwaters of the Everglades.

  • Modern residential era. The Fells Cove neighborhood most people mean today is a master-planned community built in the early 2000s (largely by U.S. Homes and Park Square Homes) on generous lots along the cove’s north side.
